Salary: $29.09 - $43.62 Hourly

Job Summary

Performs professional and technical level support for programs and/or projects and staff in the Information Technology (IT) Department utilizing various systems. Responsible for complex work related to the contracting of services and procuring of goods and equipment, ongoing communication with stakeholders, creation of documents, process development, and maintenance of tracking systems. Responsible for scheduling appointments; arranging meetings and conferences; compiling records, reports, or visual aids; and maintaining records and department files.

Job Description

Performs all phases of procurement of products and services required by the IT Department. Follows county procurement processes and best practices for vendor and product selection. Reviews and resolves any discrepancies prior to paying invoices.  



Assists with IT contract preparations and procurement process adherence; maintains, monitors, and updates existing contracts; and acts as liaison between IT and vendors.  



Acts as administrator of the IT Asset Management process; maintains up-to-date inventory data and prepares reports.  



Supports a variety of accounting duties and compiles data for preparation of budget and forecasting for leadership utilizing an ERP system; composes, compiles, and maintains complex files, records, schedules, spreadsheets, and statistics; and prepares reports.  



Assists in the development and implementation of methods and procedures to expedite and improve procurement, asset management, financial recordkeeping, and reporting functions for the IT Department.



Owns procurement and support of cellular program county wide including phone devices, jetpacks, Ipads, user set up, and support.

 

Coordinates communications to IT customers for areas of responsibility  



Organizes and manages special projects at the discretion of the supervisors and managers.



Provides assistance in a variety of administrative functions in support of IT staff. 



Works the hours and/or shifts as assigned and begins and ends work on time. 



Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires equivalency of an Associate's degree and three years progressively responsible experience in procurement, contracts, and managerial support. Strong preference given for a Bachelor's Degree. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and solid experience with document management are preferred. Experience with accounting practices and intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word are preferred. Incumbent must have a reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.

Supervisory Controls
The employee is under general guidance and direction from an IT Manager and Chief Information Officer (CIO). With considerable allowance for independent judgment, work is performed according to established procedures and supervisor/CIO consultation for difficult or unusual problems as they occur. Self-starter and critical thinking abilities are critical to this position. Work is reviewed for accuracy and quality through observation, examination of records and reports generated, and meetings.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Typical characteristics of the regular, ongoing work environment of this position requires inside work, typically in an office setting.

Physical activities include sedentary to light work: Reaching, sitting, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, pulling, fingering, grasping, feeling, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Lifts and/or navigates up to 35 pounds on a routine basis in handling files and equipment necessary for performing the essential duties of the job.
